Pampered on a private island
With million-year-old rainforest and blue sea as a backdrop, you’d
need something extraordinary to make you more relaxed. That would
be the Spa Village on privately owned island, Pangkor Laut.
Here you will find the very essence of spa sophistication. There’s
just 22 over-water bungalows, 16 treatment pavilions, a VIP pavilion
with its own private entrance, a glorious beach and a lap pool running
parallel. The Spa features both indoor and open-air spaces, spread
over 4 acres on a quiet bay nestled between sea and rainforest. There
are open courtyards, lotus ponds, an herb garden, even a reflexology
path.
Your spa programmes will find the balance between physical and spiritual
health, and explore four areas: Rejuvenation and Longevity, Relaxation
and Stress Reduction, Detoxification, and Romance.
And if all that doesn’t leave you dreamy, try one of the Nap
Gazebos on the beach - complete with huge mattresses and floaty white
curtains… |

Speciality of the Spa
There’s no better way to begin your day
than the Bath House Ritual, a fusion of Asia styles of bathing. This
starts with a footbath and an invigorating Chinese Foot Pounding,
previously only enjoyed by concubines of feudal China. From here you’ll
visit the Bath Houses to enjoy the traditional Malay “circulating”
bath, akin to bathing in a stream, as well as a Japanese-style cleansing
with a “goshi-goshi”” cloth, followed by a dip in
the heated Rotenburu pool. You then refresh your senses with the signature
Shanghai Scrub, gently exfoliating and washing your body in a private
scrub house. Remember though, this is just the beginning – after
a cup of calming tea, you now begin your chosen spa treatment! |
